Top 10 Kool Advertisements

We tend to believe that some of these advertisements are a glimpse in the past to a world that we will never see from here on out.  So what we have done is started a series on the best 10 Kool Menthol cigarette advertisements.  We hope that you enjoy them.

This one comes in #10 because everybody likes it when penguins are snow skiing.  It is just too cute and something I miss from my time in the South Pole.

This one comes in #9, because obviously they are watching the penguin ski and probably watching him fall.  I can almost hear the guy say, “look at that penguin thinking he can ski!”

We will put this one in at #8, because it would be a lot cooler if he was blowing smoke out of the Sax, but because he doesn’t he earns #8 on our scale.

#7 This one is a just a gorgeous photo of what Kool was doing in the late 70′s after they got rid of their penguins.

#6 Because I saw this ad and it came out after Labor Day, so technically Kool got it all wrong with the white pants.

#5 Because nothing says “I’d like a cigarette but I am miles away from the closest convenient store”, like a mirage of Kool Cigarettes floating in the air.

#4 Because at first I was surprised to know that penguins even liked cigarettes and then also were great at photography, but then I was even more surprised when I came to find out that father penguins let their children smoke.  I guess it is just a different world down in the South Pole.

#3 This is just another wonderful ad with the penguins out in the sun.  Love the image of the lady hanging with her man.

#2 I’m not sure if he is supposed to be there, but it is still a Kool Ad.

Our #1 spot is for the women who is riding a pack of cigarettes in what looks like an algae filled lake.  No clue what this means but I liked it a lot.
